Fertility Nurse (RN/LPN) / Assistant (CNA or MA)
About The Position
Virginia Fertility & IVF is a busy and successful Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility clinic in Charlottesville, VA. We provide compassionate care in a collaborative, team-focused environment. We are currently seeking a Fertility Clinic Nurse (RN or LPN) or Assistant (CNA or MA) to join our clinical team. Because of our unique specialty, we will train appropriate candidates to learn the skill of this fast-paced position. We are looking for a candidate who is positive, compassionate, team-player, and has a desire to truly help patients in an emotionally charged field. This is a very important role for the success of our practice and for patients to feel appropriately supported and receive excellent quality of care. This position is full time, Monday–Friday with 1 in 6 weekend rotations (2–4 hours per weekend day).
Requirements
- Active Virginia RN, LPN, CNA or MA license required
- Strong phlebotomy skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Team player with a positive, compassionate approach
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, emotionally sensitive clinical environment
Responsibilities
- Chaperone physicians and assist with procedures
- Educate patients on medication administration, injection techniques, cycle calendars & send in scripts
- Review patient medical records prior to appointments
- Answer patient questions and provide support during visits
- Perform phone triage
- Clean and sterilize equipment
- Manage lab results and order supplies
- Collaborate with phlebotomists and nurse assistants
- Other duties as assigned
