About the position
This position is for an Operator Technician in the Fermentation Department at our Winchester Kentucky facility. Responsibilities
- Follow the direction of the team leader and overall direction of management.
- Operations of process equipment, open/closure of valves, sterilization of piping/tanks, monitoring process conditions and adjusting as needed.
- Ensures work performed is accurate, timely, efficient and compliant with company policies, plant SOP's, cGMP regulations and FDA regulations.
- Report quality deviations or non-conformances observed, monitor batch production records throughout the fermentation process.
- Able to troubleshoot issues with process or equipment independently and initiate appropriate action when deviations occur.
- Participates in continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, safety and/or cycle time.
- Perform on the job training for new and developing operators.
- Ensure cleanliness of process areas.
- Collaborates effectively with other departments.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Nice-to-haves
- 4-8 years of experience in manufacturing and/or fermentation environment
