About The Position

Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all areas in the Chuan Spa, while delivering outstanding customer service. Responsible for the replenishment of products and supplies as specified by the management team. It is imperative that all areas be kept in impeccable condition to achieve Langham’s and Forbes standards.

Requirements

  • Ability to work alone in an established routine.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to read, write and speak basic English sufficient to understand and communicate with employees and guests, understand information and Instructions, read labels, and complete required department forms.
  • Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skill and ability. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior hotel and or spa experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly cleans sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, tiles, counters, walls, and stalls, vents and/or floors with appropriate cleaning agents. Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents.
  • Sweep and mop all flooring, which includes all hard surfaces.
  • Thoroughly dust all furniture, pictures, and shelves.
  • Vacuuming of the areas includes weight room, corridors and all hallways.
  • Thoroughly clean and polish all metal surfaces, using appropriate cleaning agents.
  • Clean, and give proper maintenance to restroom areas of Spa.
  • Provide a clean and organized atmosphere in the spa and adjacent facilities.
  • Ensure locker room and sauna cleanliness.
  • Keep the pool deck clean, organized and enforce all posted rules and regulations.
  • Keeps locker rooms clean and stocked with all amenities, removes soiled linen and trash.
  • Inspects equipment and reports any unsafe conditions or maintenance needs.
  • Attends all mandatory In-services and department meetings.
  • Helps the public, including instruction and/or guidance for guest and employee safety in fire or other emergency situations.
  • Follow Langham Hotel standards to deliver service and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Reports to work on time and in proper uniform following Langham and Chuan Spa Dress Codes.
  • Maintain a visibly positive and approachable composure to promote patron and employee interaction.
  • Report all issues concerning the Spa, Fitness and Pool areas to Spa management.
  • Informs Director and Supervisor of any purchasing needs, low stock.
  • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, colleagues may be scheduled for varying shifts.
  • Perform opening or closing duties as written.
  • Additional responsibilities not listed may be required by supervisor.
