About The Position
The Disaster Planning Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting FEMA Public Assistance courses by providing technical recommendations and developing training materials. This position involves conducting damage assessments, analyzing applicant data, and documenting damages to assist in the grant delivery process. The specialist will also participate in meetings with FEMA and coordinate site inspections to validate damage claims.
