About The Position

The Wound Management and Dermatology Fellowship is designed for Nurse Practitioners (NP) and Physician Assistants (PA) who are seeking advanced training in wound management, dermatology, and limb preservation. This full-time position offers a comprehensive one-year program that combines clinical training, hands-on experience, and opportunities for board certification, aimed at improving access to specialized care for patients with complex skin conditions.

Requirements

• Certified Nurse Practitioner (BC/BE) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) licensed in Washington State.
• Post-acute care experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in geriatric and homebound patient care.
• Familiarity with wound management and dermatology.

Responsibilities

• Train and collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams.
• Travel to scheduled locations weekly for clinical training and hands-on experience in various post-acute care settings.
• Participate in customized didactic training in wound management, dermatology, and limb preservation.
• Engage in research projects with Open Wound Research.
• Collaborate virtually with medical faculty including board-certified physicians and surgeons.
