About The Position

The Fellowship Program Coordinator for Sleep Medicine and Interventional Pulmonology at Emory University plays a crucial role in organizing, coordinating, and planning the operational aspects of the ACGME fellowship program. This position involves establishing long-term operational objectives and researching factors that may impact the success of the program. The coordinator will work collaboratively with various individuals and groups to gather and document program requirements, which will contribute to the development of strategic plans for the fellowship program. Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining all fellow records in the residency management system (New Innovations) and ensuring compliance with ACGME, ABIM, ABFM, and Emory's GME office. The coordinator will track all fellow expenses, travel, and leave, and assist the Program Director with educational activities and events related to the fellowship. Additionally, the coordinator will develop work plans to achieve program goals and objectives, monitor progress, and conduct research to create various publications. The role also involves developing promotional materials, coordinating program-related conferences and meetings, monitoring expenditures, participating in budget planning, and preparing financial reports. The coordinator may assist in identifying funding resources and developing fundraising strategies. Furthermore, the position includes preparing operational and statistical reports, conducting training, representing the program at meetings and conferences, and networking with affiliated groups. The coordinator may supervise assigned project staff, interns, and/or volunteers, and perform related responsibilities as required.
