A Day in the Life We are hiring a dynamic and driven Medical Education Program Manager to focus on physicians in training and fellows’ education. This role will play a critical part in redefining how we deliver educational resources to our healthcare provider partners for the Peripheral Vascular Health (PVH) businesses at Medtronic. In this role, you will own the development and execution of our U.S. fellows’ education strategy, transforming our relationships with fellows from event-driven interactions to a long-term, education-focused approach. The goal is to set fellows up for success in their future practices and provide both breadth and depth of learning to supplement institutional training programs. Understanding and leveraging best practices from across Medtronic, the medical device industry, and virtual education platforms will be essential to ensure Medtronic Peripheral Vascular Health maintains a competitive advantage. The intended audience for these programs includes current vascular surgery, interventional radiology, and interventional cardiology fellows in the United States. Program evaluation will include voice-of-customer input from physician faculty and learners, as well as ROI analysis to measure cost versus benefit, effort, reach, and adherence to Business Conduct guidelines and Compliance reporting requirements. You will work closely with healthcare professionals, fellows’ program directors, conference leaders, MA&E colleagues, Sales and Marketing, Regulatory and Legal departments, IT, and other Medtronic business units. Ongoing alignment with corporate technologies requires intentional engagement and collaboration with IT, Education, and Marketing teams. A career at Medtronic is like no other. We’re purposeful. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in a role involving education in a healthcare setting (5 years with an advanced degree)
• Experience working with physicians in planning and executing customer meetings
• Virtual education management experience
• Project management experience
• Knowledge of vascular disease states and treatments

Responsibilities

• Identify current and future educational needs based on therapy, geography, customer, and business landscape, and collaborate with internal and external partners to incorporate evolving needs into curriculum offerings. There is a strong emphasis on creating new and innovative resources that meet customer, therapy, and market needs.
• Develop and execute programs and resources aligned with the educational needs of physicians in training that drive clinical skills, therapy development, and advances in patient care.
• Work in tandem with team members and physician faculty advisors on technical training materials, educational event planning and execution, and development of current and future physician educators.
• Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external customers seeking information on educational offerings.
• Simulation Curriculum Development: Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Field Training, Medical Science, Marketing, etc.) and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to create simulation scenarios for fellows, focusing on procedural proficiency and safety of PVH products.
• Fellow and Surgeon Training: Facilitate, proctor, and debrief simulation sessions for fellows and residents currently trained on TCAR to enhance understanding of Medtronic’s Neuroguard device, embolization, and deep venous procedures.
• Lab Operations and Technology: Maintain, calibrate, and operate advanced high-fidelity simulators, VR trainers, and physical task trainers.
• Institution, Society, and Congress Training and Events: Conduct on-site training sessions at hospitals and manage simulation lab setups during major medical conferences and society meetings.
• Fellowship Program Engagement: Identify and engage fellows’ institutions and program directors to evaluate educational needs and areas of opportunity. Execute select carotid Centers of Excellence (COE) courses as needed.
• Lead the planning and execution of the Medtronic PVH Fellows’ Technology Exchange course.
• Cultivate positive, effective relationships with healthcare professionals and internal business partners that drive business results and advance therapy.
• Interface with CVG and additional business divisions to stay current on best practices and innovations.
• Serve as the PVH Medical Education representative on cross-business committees related to fellows and residents and share key learnings with the Medical Education team.
• Partner with the Compliance Team and Legal Department to contract with faculty and facilities.
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of business conduct and medical education event compliance policies, processes, and required documentation.
• Engage in continuous learning within the therapeutic area to remain a reliable, trusted resource of accurate, up-to-date medical and scientific knowledge at a foundational level.
• Assess ongoing educational requirements and collaborate with partners to incorporate evolving needs into curriculum offerings, with a particular focus on digital resources.
• Assist in managing budgets to meet company and business unit objectives.
• Communicate strategy and tactical programs to relevant sales leaders and provide regular updates on progress related to fellows’ education.
