The Feline Lifesaving Petco Program Manager will report to the Feline Operations Director and work closely with the Lifesaving Transfer Manager, Feline Programs Support Specialist, Feline Foster Manager, and feline staff onsite to ensure adoptable cats are available in all locations. The primary responsibility of this position is to increase the lifesaving capacity of KC Pet Project without compromising the welfare of the cats in our program by keeping each location at their capacity for care. This person will be responsible for monitoring daily intakes, adoptions, and open kennels to maintain accurate, up-to-date picture of the cats within our program and where placement opportunities are available for incoming felines. The feline lifesaving Petco Program Manager will be the primary contact for Petco staff as well as KC Pet Project volunteers in the habitat program. This person will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing a large group of volunteers throughout the metro. The Petco Program Manager will oversee feline care and welfare at all Petco stores. This person will be required to maintain a regular schedule of visiting each store in order to maintain positive relationships with the store personnel and will be expected to fill open care shifts. This role is also heavily involved in working with and training Petco staff at the stores in processing adoptions from the habitats and ensuring follow-through in the completion and submission of all paperwork. It is the objective of this person to support offsite adoption centers, as well as transferring partners, by providing ideas, resources, and trainings that will have long-term effects to a collaborative feline lifesaving mission.
