About The Position

In the Feed/Small Seed Retail Specialist position, you are responsible for supporting the hardware department through advertising and merchandising, managing inventory of feed, seed, fertilizer, and hardware products, and coordinating vendor orders. You will also provide knowledgeable recommendations for livestock needs, ensures efficient order organization, and help administer customer billing.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED. A.S. Agriculture preferred or relevant job experience.
Demonstrates the ability to interact effectively with management and customers
Has a self-motivating personality as well as team-building skills
Must possess excellent communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Excel Outlook and Word

Responsibilities

Follow all established personnel and safety policies and procedures
Assist hardware manager with advertising and merchandising of all products and services within the hardware department.
Work with vendors and salesmen ordering different feed, livestock, and seed as well as keeping inventory of all small seed, fertilizer, feed and various hardware items
Keep inventory of all bagged feed products/Livestock Equipment and work with hardware manager to establish re-order points
Have a general knowledge of the livestock Industry and make recommendations for customer's needs for both feed and seed
Ability to organize orders, coordinate pickup times, bill customers, and drive a forklift as necessary
Assist other employees in the restocking of feed, fertilizer, small seed, and various hardware items
Have a basic understanding of hardware, and as time permits help with various daily task throughout the store
Provide the highest quality customer service
Interact with employees and management in a professional manner
