About The Position
AFCO Distribution & Milling is seeking a dedicated Feed Mill Worker to join our team in Spokane Valley, WA. As a division of Skagit Farmers Supply, we have a long-standing commitment to providing quality products and services to our customers and community partners. Our feed mill is one of the region's premier facilities, manufacturing a variety of product lines including LMF Horse Feeds, Palouse Brand, Earth First Poultry Feed, Aslin-Finch Feeds, Backyard Bistro, and Barnyard Bistro. In this role, you will be an integral part of our operations, responsible for the manufacturing and mixing of locally grown feed. The Feed Mill Worker will engage in various tasks including the manufacture and inspection of feed-related products, bagging animal feed in a fast-paced production environment, and ensuring that all ingredients are correctly blended according to recipe cards. You will also assist in the regular maintenance of equipment and premises, safely using hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and delivery vehicles. The role requires loading and unloading trucks in a timely manner, as well as lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling weights of up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 80 pounds with assistance. Climbing ladders for routine maintenance and housekeeping is also part of the job. Maintaining a safe and clean working area while following written and verbal instructions is essential. We are looking for a reliable individual who can work well with others and demonstrate punctuality and attendance. This position is full-time, typically operating Monday through Thursday on ten-hour shifts, with the possibility of evening and weekend work as needed.
