About The Position

This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service, making bulk feed and bagged feed for customers, assist in feed manufacturing processes as assigned and servicing and repairing tanks. Promotes company and branch location employee cohesiveness through effective communication, teamwork and shared services, as well as provides maximum service to members and patrons. The feed mill operator is responsible for all feed production, processing inventory and sales, as well as providing maximum service to members and patrons.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow company employee policies.
• Responsible for all feed production, processing and mixing drugs.
• Load feed trucks per customer orders and follow established procedures to meet FDA Good Manufacturing Practices, Central Prairie Co-op’s Feed Quality Assurance and feed plant requirements.
• Take all necessary precautions to prevent contamination of feed products and deliver product to the correct location/bin.
• Inspect feed products while loading and unloading and immediately notify plant management of any quality related situations.
• Assist when requested for mill maintenance and repair as qualified or works with a qualified technician.
• Accurately complete and maintain records (Bulk Truck Delivery Records, Feed Productions Records, Vehicle Inspection Reports, and other mill documents) in a neat and orderly manner.
• Promote new products and services to customers; assist with stocking, inventory and advertising of all products.
• Perform customer check out using point of sale system and/or writing tickets and assists in loading purchases.
• Continually maintains facility cleanliness within standards set by insurance company, OSHA, and safety coordinator.
• Assist when requested dumping grain and/or loads railcars or trucks, clean up grain spills.
• Provides excellent customer service by managing difficult or emotional situations; responding promptly to customer needs, resolving questions, complaints and concerns immediately and meeting commitments.
• Effectively communicates by verbal and written means with customers, employees and management.
• Communicate absences with manager and effected personnel.
• Maintains and promotes safety awareness; follows safety policies, procedures and reporting requirements.
• Complies with all state and federal laws, codes and regulations.
• Present a clean and professional appearance.
• Locking and unlocking facilities.
• Employee is required to perform all other duties as assigned.
