About The Position
The Feed Mill Operator position is a full-time role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of feed mill activities, specifically in the manufacturing of fish feeds. This role requires the operator to operate various equipment essential for the production process, ensuring that high-quality products are consistently produced. The operator will be tasked with monitoring and troubleshooting the production process, making necessary adjustments to processing conditions to maintain product quality. In addition to operating machinery, the Feed Mill Operator will be responsible for accurately counting and measuring ingredients, finished feeds, and other manufacturing components. Keeping precise records as required by the lead extruder operator is crucial for maintaining quality control and operational efficiency. The role also involves performing routine maintenance on equipment, managing the shipment of products, and utilizing forklifts and other necessary equipment. Participation in required training is mandatory, and the operator must maintain confidentiality regarding proprietary information. A strong emphasis is placed on fostering a culture of safety and environmental compliance within the workplace. The Feed Mill Operator will also be expected to analyze production processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and resolve any issues that may arise in a timely manner. This position may require performing other job-related duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the feed mill operations.
