About The Position

The Feed Mill General Labor position is responsible for meeting high quality standards in making animal feed. Essential Functions: Properly store and load all feed ingredients ensuring there is no cross-contamination. Properly log all batches and flush according to Federal and State requirements. Follow directions for creating batches of animal feed to be bagged or loaded as bulk. Operate machinery inside and outside of the feed mill. Maintain equipment and document all maintenance. Work with manager to prioritize repairs. Load bagged feed into customer vehicles when necessary. Frequently lift over 50 pounds in a fast-paced, dusty environment. Clean inside and outside of the mill and property grounds daily. Assist when needed in the loading and unloading of grain. Assist with loading railcars. Clean grain bins. Provide excellent customer service. Properly fill propane bottles. Stock inventory and assist customers in the drive thru as needed. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be able to work with strict guidelines.
Must have a strong attention to detail.
Excellent attendance.
Friendly demeanor and positive attitude.
Willingness to cross-train in all positions.
Able to work in dusty, hot and cold conditions.
Lift a minimum of 50 pounds consistently.
Use legible handwriting.
Able to stand for long periods of time.
Follow strict housekeeping guidelines.
Ability to read and follow feed recipes.
Follow all Federal, State, OSHA and Company guidelines.
Flexible schedule to work overtime as needed.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
