About The Position

Schedule and track shipments. Dispatch and assign loads. Address issues and requests, transmitting information or providing solutions. Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance. Use radio, phone and computer to send crews and vehicles to appropriate locations. Monitor route and status of trucks, coordinating and prioritizing. Provide drivers information about orders, traffic, obstacles and requirements. Enter data, maintain logs and records of calls, activities and other information.

Requirements

• 2+ years of current dispatch experience in a similar trucking environment required.
• Proficient knowledge of shipping and receiving trucking operations.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of technology and computer skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Sense of urgency.
