About The Position

Position Overview : The purpose of this position is to oversee inventory and efficiency thereof, for feed mill operations. This position will coordinate the feed manufacturing process by producing a daily feed schedule , based on the needs of the growers and the capacities of the feed mill. This individual will ensure growers needs are met and keep communication as a top priority between all parties.

Requirements

• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to forecast orders using previous order data
• Working knowledge, or the ability to learn and understand, Feed Mill Manager software
• Willingness to work extended hours
• Ability to work in Microsoft suite daily
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Two years experience preferred

Nice To Haves

• Experience with swine or feed production preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage, track and verify feed inventories for growers
• Communicate effectively with growers to minimize inventory issues
• Assist grower with communications regarding placements, sales and inventories
• Forecast and schedule feed orders for delivery
• Write feed orders and assist in managing mill efficiencies
• Assist in coordinating partial loads to maximize load capacity
• Assist the mill with flush orders, as needed
• Setup and removal of group budgets in Feed Mill Manager
• Setup and maintain feed formulas in Feed Mill Manager
• Manage and coordinate feed reclaims, as needed
• Develop daily manufacturing schedule for the mill
