SUMMARY: The Feed Mill Assistant Manager is responsible for the production flow, schedule and team members of the assigned feed mill and the compliance with all Federal, State regulations, and company policies and procedures that ensure a wholesome, quality product and that no adulterated product enters commerce.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in Poultry Science, Agricultural Science, Management, related field AND 3+ years of feed mill experience or equivalent
• 1 year of supervisory experience
• Must have strong communication skills both written and oral; communicate with persons at all levels within the company on a professional level
• Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Proven analytical skills
• High level proficiency in the Microsoft office suite

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Poultry Science, Animal Science, or related field highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversees the production flow, schedule, and team members within the assigned feed mill.
• Oversees feed ingredient sampling.
• Verifies weights on incoming ingredients and reports any discrepancies.
• Helps staff and train mill team members.
