About The Position

The Fee Booth Attendant is responsible for greeting visitors, customers, staff, and other vendors, collecting fees, providing information about marina facilities, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all park and marina visitors. This position requires excellent communication skills, customer services skills, the ability to handle cash and operate a cash register, and a friendly demeanor.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with visitors, staff, and other vendors of the marina in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Minimum of eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
  • Ability to learn marina and recreational park rules and regulations.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and work in outdoor weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable with basic computer skills and knowledge of point-of-sale systems or cash registers preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in customer service and cash handling preferred.
  • Knowledge of APM marina services and amenities.
  • Skills which allow for the tactful resolution of guest problems or concerns
  • Knowledge or ability to be trained in fire extinguisher operation
  • Knowledge or ability to be trained in ISO/EMS awareness
  • Knowledge or ability to be trained in employee orientation
  • Knowledge or ability to be trained in hazard communication
  • Knowledge or ability to be trained in hazardous materials response/respiratory protection
  • Knowledge or ability to be trained in emergency response
  • Knowledge or ability to be trained in recyclable materials
  • Knowledge or ability to be trained in blood borne pathogen awareness

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors to the marina and provide information about the facilities, events, and rules
  • Collect fees from visitors and guest, accurately handle cash and make change, and complete all necessary transactions and daily administrative tasks
  • Operate a point-of-sale system or cash register to record transactions and maintain accurate records
  • Assist visitors with park and marina maps and provide directions to various park locations
  • Check for valid credentials for entry from staff, vendors, and CUA holders
  • Monitor visitor activity and report any unusual behavior or safety concerns to manager, risk management/security personnel and appropriate authorities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, addressing their needs and resolving any complaints or issues in a timely manner
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fee booth and surrounding area
  • Possess the ability to react productively to other duties as reasonably assigned.
