FedRAMP Cloud Engineer Key Role: Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions for defense and intelligence community clients. Design and implement secure, scalable AWS cloud architectures. Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Configure and optimize AWS services, including compute, storage, networking, and security. Implement cloud security controls and ensure compliance with DoD requirements. Automate cloud operations and deployment pipelines. Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and costs. Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain security best practices. Provide technical expertise for cloud strategy and architecture decisions. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions for defense and intelligence community clients.
  • Design and implement secure, scalable AWS cloud architectures.
  • Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Configure and optimize AWS services, including compute, storage, networking, and security.
  • Implement cloud security controls and ensure compliance with DoD requirements.
  • Automate cloud operations and deployment pipelines.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and costs.
  • Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain security best practices.
  • Provide technical expertise for cloud strategy and architecture decisions.
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS cloud engineering
  • Experience with FedRAMP engineering requirements
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, and IaC tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Experience scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Knowledge of AWS networking and security services
  • Knowledge of AWS security best practices and compliance frameworks
  • HS diploma or GED
  • AWS Associate-level Certification such as Solutions Architect Associate, SysOps Administrator Associate, or Developer Associate Certification
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Experience with AWS GovCloud or Impact Level regions such as IL-2, IL-4, IL-5, or IL-6
  • Experience with containerization, including Docker, ECS, or EKS
  • Experience with multi-cloud environments
  • Knowledge of the DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (SRG)
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture principles
  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, or a related field
  • AWS Professional-level Certification such as Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional, or Security Specialty Certification
  • CISSP, CCSP, and AWS Security Specialty Certification
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II or DoD 8410 CSSP Certification
