About The Position

A federal work study student is needed in the Department of Pharmacology. Beginning of June, a successful candidate is expected to assist biomedical research project which is ongoing in Urao laboratory. Activities involve wet lab experiments such as cell culture, biochemistry assays, mouse models and human blood samples. The project is funded by NIH, and the laboratory will provide supervision, guidance and training. Working hours will be determined by the supervisor depending on schedule of the project and availability of the supervision.

Requirements

• Must be a current student enrolled at Upstate Medical University.
• Must be approved for financial aid through the Student Financial Aid office at Upstate.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in biomedical research is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in biomedical research projects in Urao laboratory.
• Conduct wet lab experiments including cell culture and biochemistry assays.
• Work with mouse models and human blood samples.
• Receive supervision, guidance, and training from laboratory staff.
