Dr. Lammle is actively looking for students who will immediately be available to work on ongoing neuroradiology research projects in his lab. Dr. Lammle is conducting retrospective and clinical research projects in collaboration with other clinical departments (neurosurgery) and disciplines (computer science, bioinformatics, epidemiology). The project title is: Comparison of different imaging modalities for evaluation of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) using image analysis and computer vision methods. This highly collaborative project requires assembling a retrospective research cohort of SUNY Upstate patients diagnosed with traumatic brain injury who were monitored between 2013-2023. The students should be enrolled in a graduate Medical, Health Sciences or Public Health program. They will perform a rigorous chart review and extract clinical and pathological information from the electronic medical record (EMR) system: EPIC and Co-Path. Students will have one mentor: Dr. Lammle, principal investigator (Department of Neuroradiology) and will have the opportunity for exposure to state of the art retrospective and clinical research. The job requires a part-time research commitment to be discussed with the mentor beforehand.
