Dr. Jamaspishvili is actively looking for students who will immediately be available to work on ongoing prostate cancer research projects in her lab. Dr. Jamaspishvili is conducting translational and clinical cancer research projects in collaboration with other clinical departments (hematology-oncology, urology, radiology) and disciplines (computer science, bioinformatics, epidemiology). The project title is: "Digital tissue biomarker assessment for improved management of high-risk prostate cancer patients using image analysis and computer vision methods". Students will have two mentors: Dr. Jamaspishvili, principal investigator (Department of Pathology) and Dr. Alina Basnet, co-investigator (Department of Hematology-Oncology) and will have the opportunity for exposure to cutting-edge translational and clinical research. The job requires a part-time research commitment to be discussed with the mentor beforehand.
