About The Position

The Library Student assistant will uphold the library's standard of service by thoroughly answering patron questions via a variety of platforms including phone, in-person and chat and utilize multiple software platforms to loan study room keys and library materials to patrons. Student assistant will help with special projects and events, engaging with library staff and patrons in the building. Student assistant will assist with opening and closing the library and other daily and weekly tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be a current student enrolled at Upstate Medical University.
• Must be approved for financial aid through the Student Financial Aid office at Upstate.

Responsibilities

• Answer patron questions via phone, in-person, and chat.
• Utilize software platforms to loan study room keys and library materials.
• Assist with special projects and events.
• Engage with library staff and patrons.
• Assist with opening and closing the library.
• Perform daily and weekly tasks as assigned.
