About The Position
Securing Travel, Protecting People - At the Transportation Security Administration, we serve in a high-stakes environment to safeguard the American way of life. In cities across the country, we secure airports, seaports, railroads, highways, and public transit systems, thus protecting our transportation infrastructure and ensuring freedom of movement for people and commerce. The Federal Security Director (FSD), Security Operations is the highest-ranking Transportation Security Administration (TSA) authority responsible for leading a large, complex organization, which is charged with planning, executing, and operating security services at the airport(s). You will provide day-to-day operational leadership for the Federal security responsibilities at various locations within the airport(s). You will serve as a subject matter expert and advisor to Security Operations leadership and to other Federal Security Directors.
