We are seeking an accomplished Federal Account Executive with extensive experience serving the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and Federal Systems Integrators. While a strong background in DoD is our primary focus, experience working with Intel agencies and FSIs will set you apart.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of federal sales experience within DoD, Intel, or FSI sectors, focused on cybersecurity software solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated history of surpassing federal sector sales targets.
  • Expertise in sales methodologies and forecasting approaches (e.g., MEDDPICC).
  • Deep understanding of federal procurement, contract vehicles, and compliance requirements.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and sustain working relationships with senior government officials and key stakeholders.
  • Strategic mindset combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability and drive to excel in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Skilled in CRM platforms and sales analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory and/or Azure Entra ID.
  • Experience in startup or high-growth environments.
  • Successful track record as an early member of a federal sales team at a growing startup.
  • Active security clearance is preferred but not mandatory.
  • DC Metro area residency is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Identify high-potential agencies and opportunities for business expansion.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with federal-focused VARs, distributors, and FSIs to fuel mutual business development.
  • Stay up to date on federal procurement policies, market dynamics, and competitive trends to continuously refine sales strategies.
  • Lead the development and timely submission of persuasive proposals, bids, and RFP responses.
  • Consistently achieve and surpass federal sales revenue targets.
  • Implement best-practice sales processes and leverage sales tools to track and report pipeline progress.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and customer support teams to ensure alignment on federal sales initiatives.
