About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Four years of professional experience in budget administration, grant administration, financial analysis, or related fields.
  • Two years of experience must include preparation, research, planning, budgeting, or administration of state or federal grants.
  • A master's degree can substitute for one year of required experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provides overall programmatic direction in support of agency efforts funded by federal grants from the FMCSA.
  • Writes grant applications and determines the scope of work for each grant.
  • Functions as the program manager for all programmatic aspects of FMCSA-provided grants.
  • Completes and reviews Performance Progress Reports and submits these reports to FMCSA.
  • Provides analytical support and guidance to grant-related functions, including program data and routine updates to field staff.
  • Writes or revises the agency's Commercial Vehicle Safety Plan (CVSP) and provides updates to the CVE Commander.
  • Coordinates with agency subgrantees regarding FMCSA-provided grants.
  • Assists subgrantees with grant completion, review, and evaluation while ensuring compliance.
  • Assists in formulating policies and procedures relating to state and federal statutes regarding FMCSA-administered grants.
  • Analyzes budget impacts of grants and the effects of policy changes on grant funds.
