About The Position

Help us modernize the financial infrastructure of the federal government by building data-driven solutions that impact millions of citizens. In this role, you will partner with a major government stakeholder to provide the critical analysis and reconciliation tools needed to ensure financial transparency and operational excellence. What you will achieve Drive Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to refine existing financial processes and recommend effective solutions to ensure data integrity across various platforms. Engineer Reconciliation Tools: Analyze complex data sets - designing and delivering functional reconciliation tools that help the client understand their financial landscape. Lead Client Interaction: Act as a proactive consultant, gathering requirements directly from stakeholders and delivering feedback on process improvement tasks. Collaborate on Financial Insights: Partner with the broader team to lend your financial systems expertise to the development of meaningful management reports and dashboards. Requirements

  • US Citizenship
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong foundational understanding of federal financial processes (e.g., budget activity, obligations, and general ledger accounts).
  • Ability to take raw data files and independently design reconciliation tools and workflows.
  • Proficient in using SQL and Microsoft Access to manage, query, and analyze data outside of primary enterprise systems.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical team members and non-accounting client stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with PowerBI for financial data visualization.
  • Familiarity with Oracle-based financial systems or other Tier 1 Federal ERP platforms.
  • Advanced capabilities in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling.
