We are looking for a Project Engineer to support our company objectives. Job Summary: Responsible for supporting assigned projects to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and according to plans/specifications. This role serves as the primary link between management and field crews, providing administrative support to the assigned Project Manager(s).

Requirements

  • Communicates effectively; both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work both independently, and with a diverse group of individuals, maintaining and building good working relationships at all levels within the organization.
  • Well-organized and efficient, capable of prioritizing and working through multiple tasks concurrently and meeting project deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and resourceful in problem-solving.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and construction documents.
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed to meet project deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Procore software is recommended.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, scheduling tools, PDF management.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Willing to travel nationally up to 20%.
  • 6 months to 1 year experience
  • BS in engineering, technical discipline, or construction management
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and climbing.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Exposure to noise, dust, and heavy equipment.
  • Must be able to lift 35 pounds consistently, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities as well as the job site(s).

Responsibilities

  • Obtains, reviews, and submits vendor submittals per the project registry.
  • Organizes punch lists and distributes them to sub-contractors.
  • Coordinates with Project Manager and Superintendent to establish project plans.
  • Collects and analyzes information used to plan projects.
  • Develops rapport with clients, sub-contractors and suppliers in order to obtain information necessary for the project.
  • Assembles, reviews, and submits close-out documentation.
  • Assists Estimator as necessary to develop project budget and proposals.
  • Assists Project Manager with monthly pay applications as necessary.
  • Generates reports and other documentation used to monitor and manage projects.
