Goals of this program include: Develop interest in public service through employment with TAMIU and be assigned to local non-profit, government, or community-based organizations. Apply skills and theories gained through coursework to solve problems and explore issues outside the classroom. Enhance career competencies, such as critical thinking, teamwork, communication, and leadership. Articulate how experiences will shape personal, academic, and professional pursuits. Laredo Crime Stoppers is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Program Intern to join their team. The intern will support various aspects of our crime prevention and community engagement initiatives. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit operations, community outreach, and public safety programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in criminal justice, public administration, or nonprofit management.
