About The Position

The Federal Business Director directs the sale of Wellpath services to Federal clients, including the Federal Bureau of Prisons, while managing client relationships and contracts. This role oversees all operational aspects of Federal business, including program implementation and the development of related policies and procedures. The position manages network development, contracting, and claims initiatives while ensuring accurate communication of products, benefits, and service limitations to internal and external stakeholders. The Director collaborates with senior leadership to identify new business opportunities, develop products and services, and present financial, trend, and performance analyses. This role also maintains Federal client relationships, conducts senior-level presentations, and communicates business risks and revenue impacts in a timely and documented manner.

Requirements

  • Degree from an accredited college or university, or 10+ years of experience with increasing responsibilities
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Operations and/or Network Development, preferably within healthcare and/or Federal environments

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • Experience providing healthcare services within correctional environments preferred

Responsibilities

  • Direct Federal client sales efforts and manage relationships and contracts, including FBOP accounts
  • Oversee Federal business operations, including program implementation, policies, and procedures
  • Manage network development, contracting, and claims initiatives for Federal clients
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on business development, product strategy, and financial and performance analysis
  • Communicate business risks, revenue impacts, and account performance to executive leadership and stakeholders
