About The Position

We are seeking a Federal Business Development Manager to join their expanding team. This is a newly created, sales-focused role designed to drive growth through new federal business opportunities. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in federal IT sales and business development, with experience in cybersecurity or related technology solutions. This individual will play a key role in expanding our footprint beyond its established presence and into additional federal agencies.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in federal business development, capture management, or federal IT sales within a government contractor
  • Demonstrated, current relationships with federal IT decision-makers and influencers
  • Proven track record of: Securing and leading pre-RFP engagements with program and acquisition stakeholders Influencing acquisition strategies and contract pathways Contributing to or leading successful federal contract wins (e.g., prime awards, major task orders, or contract vehicle on-ramps)
  • Strong understanding of federal acquisition processes and vehicles
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels

Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and capture new federal IT business opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with federal agency stakeholders, buyers, and influencers
  • Drive early engagement activities, including securing pre-RFP meetings and shaping acquisition strategies
  • Support and influence contract pursuits, including prime awards, task orders, and contract vehicle access
  • Collaborate internally to align sales strategies with the companies technical capabilities and offerings
