About The Position

LS3P is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Federal Architecture Lead to join our team. This individual will focus on federal projects throughout the Southeast to both maintain and develop new clients. The ideal candidate will be proactive, resourceful, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively with LS3P’s Federal Team, business development teams and the firm’s senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Registered Architect with Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited university.
  • 15+ years of design experience post licensure is preferred.
  • 10+ years of project management experience.
  • Experience working on large scale projects and leading large teams of consultants.
  • Strong team leadership, mentoring, motivational/organizational and people skills.
  • Must be willing to travel.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the current Federal + Industrial Sector Leader, business development teams and the firm’s senior leadership to maintain and strengthen existing Federal client relationships.
  • Cultivate a pipeline for new business opportunities with government clients focusing primarily on USACE and NAVFAC, but looking for other feasible opportunities such as DHS, GSA, or other agencies.
  • Work closely with the firm’s current Design/Build clients on opportunities and proposal presentations.
  • Travel to meet the current D/B partners and work to develop new relationships for Federal D/B work.
  • Work closely with the firm’s current AE subconsultants on opportunities and proposal presentations.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive, metrics-driven understanding of the firm's Federal business development strategy.
  • Continue to work with the ADC-LS3P JV Mentor-Protégé arrangement.
  • Identify and pursue new growth opportunities with government agencies through targeted outreach and timely follow-through.
  • Conduct research to identify potential Federal clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong Federal client relationships.
  • Gather information on potential Federal clients and projects, scheduling meetings to uncover new project opportunities.
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships to support business growth.
  • Support communication between project team, client, vendors, contractors, and consultants.
  • Involve the current Federal + Industrial Sector Leader and other team members in client meetings to leverage firm-wide expertise.
  • Develop, grow, hire, and expand the Federal Team as appropriate for the business climate and opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Senior Federal Marketing Manager to track leads, prepare proposals, plan strategy and teaming arrangements for Federal work.
  • Assist in the analysis of RFQs and RFP’s and the development of written proposal responses.
  • Develop, craft and write proposals and oversee the preparation and timely completion of qualifications packages and proposals.
  • Assist in the development of interview presentation strategies, messaging, and all team preparations for winning presentations and interviews.
  • Work with the Senior Federal Marketing Manager to develop conference presentations and schedule speaking engagements.
  • Work with the internal teams to identify opportunities in pursuits and projects.
  • Work with LS3P IT security team to maintain LS3P CMMC compliance and operational environment.
  • Be responsible for any project assignment regardless of size, visibility, number of disciplines, technical complexity or number of staff.
  • Supervise large project staffs and act as mentor for less-experienced Project Managers, Architects, and Designers.
  • Implement QA/QC procedures.
  • Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project life cycle and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule.
  • Work with the Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviews.
  • Attend Federal based conferences and join Federal based organizations as an LS3P representative to network and identify potential clients.
  • Develop and maintain a strong business network to serve as a reliable source of information and leads.
  • Increase the awareness and understanding within the community of the firm’s military + government practice on a local, regional, and national basis.
