About The Position

The PAC Grassroots Manager will support Walgreens' Corporate Affairs department by developing and implementing Political Action Committee (PAC) and grassroots engagement programs. This role involves overseeing PAC management, including strategy development, fundraising efforts, and political involvement coordination across the company. The manager will collaborate with stakeholders, build relationships with campaigns, and organize fundraising events to advocate for Walgreens' priorities. Additionally, the position includes tracking program outcomes, preparing communications, and assisting with budget oversight to ensure effective resource use.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in PAC, fundraising, grassroots, or political affairs.
• Knowledge of Federal and state fundraising laws and regulations.
• Experience managing multiple projects with various completion dates simultaneously.
• Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• At least 1 year of direct leadership, indirect leadership, or cross-functional team leadership.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in political affairs or advocacy work.
• Familiarity with healthcare or pharmacy industry fundraising practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement creative marketing strategies to drive PAC membership growth and increase fundraising receipts for WalgreenCoPAC.
• Coordinate targeted solicitations to potential PAC members through customized communications.
• Track all PAC contribution requests and maintain up-to-date records on donations.
• Conduct ongoing PAC research and analyze fundraising trends within the pharmacy industry.
• Partner with Government Relations staff to design and execute a dynamic federal grassroots program.
• Create and distribute impactful communications to engage employees on grassroots action items.
• Identify effective communication channels to maximize grassroots campaign engagement.
• Grow Walgreens' grassroots network by fostering active participation among employees.
• Prepare briefing materials to support local grassroots events in collaboration with Government Relations.
• Support and manage relationships with external Government Relations vendors and consultants.
• Assist in managing strategic projects and working groups within Government Relations.
• Prepare reports and updates for internal teams and external stakeholders.
