About The Position

The Route Manager at FedEx Ground is responsible for overseeing daily operations, enhancing logistics processes, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence. Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience in management and logistics, with a focus on route planning.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to analyze data and generate comprehensive reports.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience managing logistics routes for FedEx or other national carriers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and improve logistics processes.
• Manage employee schedules, including workforce planning and time off.
• Dispatch 6-7 routes daily and run a route at least 3 times per week.
• Conduct hiring, training, and performance evaluations for staff.
• Handle disciplinary actions and address employee concerns.
• Provide assistance to drivers and maintain effective communication with the team.
• Track and report incidents of missing packages or delayed routes.
• Ensure DOT and safety compliance and oversee staffing and employment screening.
