About The Position

As a Feature Strategy Analyst , you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our software-defined vehicles by translating customer needs and business objectives into actionable technology strategies and compelling feature roadmaps. Your work will directly impact which innovative capabilities make it into our vehicles, ensuring they are delivered on the right platforms, at the right time, and with an optimal balance of cost and complexity. This is a high-impact Individual Contributor role for someone who can think 5 years out but also write a detailed requirement document today. This position actively drives alignment and decision-making across critical functions. You will lead discussions and generate strategic artifacts with Digital Product, Marketing, Customer Experience, Vehicle Programs, Engineering, Research, and the Technology Platform teams. Your primary focus will be on defining and architecting cross-vehicle technology capabilities and experience bundles, ultimately owning the early-stage feature & technology roadmaps that deliver Ford’s winning enterprise strategy for specific feature domains. Success in Feature Strategy requires strategic vision and foresight, cross-functional influence & collaboration, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, technical acumen and systems thinking, exceptional communication, product-mindedness, adaptability, and a bias for action.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • 3+ years professional experience focused on Product Management, Product Strategy, or Technical Program Management within tech or automotive sectors
  • Demonstrated ability to take large, disparate sets of information (technical specs, market trends, financial data) and distill into clear and concise strategic recommendations
  • Proficiency in creating competitive analyses, customer journey maps, and feature-value matrices with demonstrated experience using JIRA (or similar Agile management tools) to prioritize product backlogs and track project lifecycles
  • Strong technical literacy of the full tech stack (mechatronics hardware, sensors, APIs, and embedded software) and how they interact to create seamless customer experiences

Nice To Haves

  • An MBA or an advanced degree with a focus on Strategy or Analytics
  • Experience taking a digital product or feature from "whiteboard concept" through to a funded, prioritized roadmap
  • Experience using AI-assisted tools for data synthesis, market research, or workflow automation
  • Systems engineering knowledge and capability
  • Experience with in-vehicle architectures and their roadmaps, constraints, and complexity
  • Strong leadership skills – ability to facilitate meetings and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across various organizational levels

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Feature Strategy Managers in developing and maintaining the 3-10 year strategic roadmap for specific domains, balancing innovative “north star” concepts with near-term technical constraints
  • Partner with Feature Strategy Managers to quantify the value of new features and enhancements, utilizing revenue and cost data to build compelling business cases that drive prioritization
  • Collaborate with the various vehicle program, digital product, and technology platform teams to synchronize vehicle-specific customer needs with technology strategies and hardware capabilities to support corporate portfolio prioritization activities
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking and market trend analysis to identify high-growth feature opportunities in the connected vehicle space
  • Analyze warranty and customer satisfaction (CSAT) drivers, ensuring 'Design-for-Quality' is a core component of the feature strategy roadmap
  • Support the development of next generation vehicle architectures and full tech stack to enable world class experiences.
  • Contribute to team modernization and digital transformation by leveraging tools like Jira and Miro to manage complex workstreams, while actively shaping the adoption of next-generation roadmapping and AI-powered tools
