In this role, you will support strategic planning and deployment of CAE modeling processes to accelerate product development. You will utilize your programming skills to develop robust solution templates, GUIs, and post-process output results. Your responsibilities will include translating actual problems to FEA models, performing what-if studies, and selecting the best solutions. You will actively participate in global multi-disciplinary product development, process improvement, and problem-solving teams. Additionally, you will interpret FEA results and convert them into design suggestions that will guide product development teams. You will use FEA to investigate opportunities for reducing costs and limiting required testing, and you will work with lab personnel on test development (Quasi-static and Dynamic). You will also be capable of using solid model software (e.g., SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor) for special test fixture development, correlate FEA models with field observations and/or lab results, and document your analyses in the form of detailed technical reports, presentations, and management updates. Some travel is required to maintain active contact with plant groups, suppliers, and customers.
