About The Position

onsemi’s External Manufacturing is looking for an experienced Foundry Engineer for foundry management, business units facing, technology development, foundry transfer roles: Develop and optimize novel solutions to GaN challenges for the next generations of onsemi Power devices. This includes taking ideas from conception, through development to deployment in manufacturing. Be a lead engineer and work with internal teams and foundries to drive GaN process/device development and evaluation, device performance improvement, FE-BE integration, CIP, yield/quality improvement, process/product qualification, technology transfer, and ramp to mass production. Manage existing day-to-day operations with external foundries to meet delivery, capacity, cycle time, delivery, quality, and cost needs. Set performance goals and manage the results. This includes driving yield, quality and productivity improvements, change management control, and being able to influence suppliers to achieve required results. Collaborate with internal fabs and foundries to benchmark performance and share learning on quality, yield, performance, and systems. Organize and demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and react to shifting priorities to meet business & organization needs. Collaborate with Procurement & Supply Chain Operation counterpart on insource/outsource & other strategic program requirements and to ensure external foundry systems accurately reflect, update and report WIP information and data. Collaborate with internal teams, including supply chain, business units, procurement, legal, and management to develop and execute a foundry management strategy to ensure adequate capacity and competitive pricing for onsemi’s products. Qualifications MS degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Chemistry Engineering, Material Science or related area. Minimum 10 years of experience working with semiconductor technology development, fab process integration, device engineering, product engineering, foundry engineering and/or foundry management in IDM, foundry, fabless companies. Hands on experience of GaN process module, process integration, device and characterization. Proactively manage and anticipate process performance, quality, change management to achieve Zero defect. Ability to lead, execute plans effectively and direct foundries to improve product quality, yield, cost, cycle time to achieve organizational goals. Knowledge of statics, yield improvement, power device process technology, device physics, and semiconductor development/manufacturing of GaN. Proficiency with data process and device analysis, DOE, and statistical techniques is assumed. Data science experience is a plus. Solid experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably in Power Device related fields. Knowledge of semiconductor processing, solid-state device physics, and Epi/SiC/GaN of thin film deposition or plasma physics is desirable. Flexible in domestic or international travel (up to 25%

Requirements
