About The Position

The FDM Solution Architect will lead the technical strategy and solution design for our Field Data Management (FDM) initiative, built on Salesforce Field Service. This role is critical in delivering scalable, mobile-first solutions that support field operations and drive enterprise adoption. The architect will focus on building robust solutions, guiding developers, and ensuring architectural integrity across the platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of Salesforce solution delivery experience, with 2+ years focused on Field Service.
  • Proven track record of leading or delivering multiple Salesforce Field Service implementations.
  • Hands-on experience with the Field Service Mobile App, including configuration and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of scheduling policies, dispatching workflows, and inventory tracking.
  • Salesforce certifications: Field Service Consultant, Administrator, Platform App Builder (additional architect-level certifications preferred).
  • Strong technical leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Experience Cloud, MuleSoft, mobile UX design, or industries such as utilities, infrastructure, or field services

Responsibilities

  • Architect scalable, secure, and high-performing Salesforce Field Service solutions tailored to mobile-first field operations.
  • Evaluate and guide the team on when to use declarative tools (e.g., Flows, Lightning Pages) versus custom code (e.g., Apex, LWC), balancing complexity, maintainability, and performance.
  • Design and optimize workflows for the Field Service mobile app, focusing on usability, performance, offline capabilities, and technician enablement.
  • Lead and mentor developers and admins, ensuring adherence to platform best practices, code quality standards, and scalable design principles.
  • Configure core Field Service components (e.g., Work Orders, Service Appointments, Service Territories, Skills, Inventory) and design optimized scheduling policies and dispatching logic.
  • Collaborate with the MuleSoft Architect to ensure seamless data flow between Salesforce and SAP S/4 HANA, leveraging MuleSoft as the ETL layer. Understand key business processes in S/4 HANA to ensure Salesforce solutions align with enterprise workflows and data models.
  • Contribute to platform governance, release planning, and long-term roadmap development in collaboration with the Product Owner and leadership.
  • Document architecture decisions, technical designs, and testing protocols. Support QA and UAT processes to ensure solution integrity.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
