About The Position
This advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Lancaster Correctional Institution in the Education Department. The Placement & Transition Specialist will conduct education orientation programs for new arrivals, administer and score achievement and placement tests, and be responsible for the administration of General Education Development (GED) testing. This includes ensuring the proper security of tests and compliance with prescribed testing procedures. The specialist will maintain educational records, assist in the development of individualized education and transition plans, and interview and counsel inmates regarding their education and personal needs.
