About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Power BI professional with a strong STEM background to lead and manage the Power BI platform for a global Foundry Sourcing and Construction organization. This role combines technical expertise, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking to drive data-driven decision-making across the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar)
  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, BI development, or related roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (both front-end and back-end development)
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines (ETL/ELT) across multiple data sources
  • Proficiency in data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and performance optimization
  • Experience working with diverse data types (structured, semi-structured, unstructured)
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong ownership and accountability
  • Ability to balance technical depth with business needs
  • Strategic thinking with a focus on ROI and impact
  • Excellent prioritization and decision-making skills
  • Collaborative and cross-functional mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Exensio
  • Experience in global organizations, preferably in sourcing, manufacturing, or construction environments
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Experience with data governance and platform administration

Responsibilities

  • Platform Ownership and Delivery Management: - Own and manage the end-to-end Power BI platform across the organization
  • Manage communication, tasks, and delivery timelines with the Power BI development team
  • Prioritize backlog based on organizational goals, urgency, and business ROI
  • Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of analytics solutions 2. Stakeholder Management and Intake Process: - Serve as the primary point of contact (focal point) for all Power BI-related business needs
  • Own and manage the intake process for new requests, including requirement gathering and scoping
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions and actionable development plans 3. Support and Troubleshooting5. Data and Technical Leadership: - Act as Tier 1 support for Power BI users across the organization, troubleshoot dashboards, data pipelines, and data-related issues
  • Resolve issues independently when possible or route effectively to the appropriate support/development teams
  • Design and oversee data architecture, including data models, ETL/ELT processes, and pipelines
  • Work with a variety of data sources (e.g., databases, APIs, cloud platforms, structured/unstructured data)
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and performance optimization
