About The Position

FCHC Orthopedic Physical Therapy is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Receptionist to join our FCHC Orthopedic Physical Therapy team. This front-desk position is crucial to ensuring smooth daily operations and a positive experience for our patients. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping others, able to multitask efficiently, and thrive in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• One to three months of related experience and/or training preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology is essential
• Prior experience in a physician's office and with Electronic Health Records (EHR) is preferred
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong computer proficiency and ability to multitask effectively
• Enjoys working with people and contributing to a team environment

Responsibilities

• Answer multi-line phones and direct calls appropriately
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments
• Greet and check in patients upon arrival
• Collect copays and verify insurance information
• Obtain prior authorizations from insurance companies as needed
• Perform light cleaning and laundry duties within the Ortho PT area
