About The Position
The Fast Food Attendant (FFA) at Areas USA, Inc. is a vital role within the Food and Beverage Operations department, specifically at Turnpikes. This position is non-exempt and involves a variety of responsibilities that contribute to the overall guest experience in a fast food or snack bar setting. The primary focus of the Fast Food Attendant is to ensure customer satisfaction through efficient service and quality food preparation. The attendant will greet customers, take food orders, and provide information about menu items while actively looking for opportunities to up-sell products. The role requires adherence to the CORE model of service, which emphasizes eye contact, smiling, enthusiastic communication, and maintaining a connection with guests. In addition to customer service, the Fast Food Attendant is responsible for accurately and efficiently cooking a variety of food items, including meats, fish, vegetables, and soups. This includes preparing and portioning food products prior to cooking and utilizing various kitchen equipment such as broilers, ovens, grills, and fryers. The attendant will also operate the cash register, handle customer payments, and ensure compliance with cash handling policies. Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work area is crucial, as is assisting with inventory management and food preparation tasks. The role may also involve mixing ingredients, shaping dough, and ensuring that all cooking tools and equipment are cleaned and sanitized after use.
