The Fast & Fresh Clerk provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service, operates the cash register accurately, and ensures cleanliness of the store, quality and quantity of product, and tends to supply needs in the store and at the pumps.

Requirements

• Must have the ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Must be able to file, post, and mail materials; copy data from one record to another.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern, and patience in all customer interactions.
• Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner.
• Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing products that are out of reach, and loading or unloading heavy items.
• Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service.
• Operates cash register accurately and scans products.
• Redeems promotional coupons, food stamps, and processes various payment methods.
• Assists with inventory of the department and checks in delivered merchandise.
• Fills displays and stocks shelves.
• Maintains cleanliness of the work area and adheres to sanitation procedures.
• Orders merchandise and supplies as needed.
