The Fast & Fresh Clerk position is designed to provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service while ensuring the cleanliness of the store and the quality and quantity of products available. This role involves operating the cash register accurately, scanning products, and tending to supply needs both in the store and at the pumps.

Requirements

• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Ability to file, post, and mail materials.
• Ability to guide people and provide basic direction.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions.
• Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner.
• Makes an effort to learn customers’ names and address them by name.
• Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, and loading/unloading heavy items.
• Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly service.
• Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Operates cash register accurately and scans products.
• Redeems promotional coupons and processes various payment methods.
• Places merchandise in bags or boxes and gives packages to customers.
• Assists with inventory and checks in delivered merchandise.
• Fills displays and stocks shelves.
• Maintains cleanliness of the lot and store, including snow removal and trash disposal.
• Understands and practices proper sanitation procedures.
• Orders merchandise and supplies as needed.
• Prices products for customers as necessary.
