The Fast and Fresh Clerk position is a non-exempt role that provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service. The clerk operates the cash register accurately, ensures cleanliness of the store, maintains quality and quantity of products, and tends to supply needs in the store and at the pumps.
Responsibilities
- Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern, and patience in all customer interactions.
- Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner.
- Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach products, loading/unloading heavy items, and passing along customer suggestions.
- Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service.
- Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Operates cash register accurately, scans products, and reports improper cash levels.
- Redeems promotional coupons, food stamps, and processes various payment methods.
- Places merchandise in bags or boxes and gives packages to customers.
- Assists with inventory and checks in delivered merchandise.
- Fills displays and stocks shelves.
- Maintains cleanliness of the lot and performs maintenance tasks.
- Cleans work areas including registers, restrooms, and break rooms.
- Orders merchandise and supplies as needed.
- Prices products for customers as necessary.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
- Ability to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
- Ability to file, post, and mail materials; copy data; and guide people.
