About The Position

The Farsi-Speaking Virtual Translator role is a remote, contract position focused on supporting a virtual education program. The translator will work alongside certified educators to facilitate learning for K-12 students, ensuring effective communication between non-English-speaking students, their families, and school staff. This position requires fluency in Farsi and a commitment to the educational success of students.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Fluent in Farsi.
• Hold a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university.
• Have access to a laptop or desktop computer, webcam, headset, and reliable internet access.
• Experience working in a K-12 educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Translate written materials such as assignments and announcements.
• Provide oral interpretation for all class sessions.
• Facilitate communication between non-English-speaking students, families, and school staff when needed.
• Assist in facilitating students' learning and comprehension.
