About The Position

The position involves performing various agricultural tasks as instructed by a supervisor, primarily focused on crop production and maintenance. Workers will engage in physical labor, including laying plastic, irrigation installation, planting, replanting, and staking, ensuring the efficient operation of agricultural processes.

Requirements

• Ability to perform physical labor and lift heavy objects (up to 80 lbs).
• Experience in agricultural work or willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in farming or agricultural roles.
• Familiarity with irrigation systems and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned duties as instructed by the supervisor.
• Load and unload heavy rolls of plastic and drip tape onto machinery.
• Ride on machinery to ensure even distribution of materials on beds of dirt.
• Use a shovel to prevent clogging of fertilizer during distribution.
• Make repairs to plastic and splices as necessary throughout the field.
• Connect and install irrigation lines for crop irrigation practices.
• Remove irrigation lines at the end of the crop season.
• Load and unload plant trays for planting operations.
• Place plants into holes made by planting machinery and fill in soil around them.
• Replant injured or dead plants as needed.
• Gather and place stakes between plants, ensuring they remain upright.
