Requirements

  • Prior Animal interaction background required
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
  • Excellent time management skills

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma
  • 2+ years of Animal Care Experience

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and proper working condition of equipment (snowshoes, skis, bikes, etc.)
  • Maintain knowledge of POS, process payments for rentals and purchases
  • Following proper payment procedures, payment with cards and room charges are preferred, but cash is accepted.
  • Follow the cash drop procedure at the end of each shift.
  • Open/close the Barn as required.
  • Ensure the daily care of our farm animals, including feeding and care for the animals, including caring for the medical needs of the animals and barn cleaning tasks.
  • Ensure the Barn is clean and ready to welcome guests.
  • Participate in Farm tours and educational talks, help process fiber, and maintain the gardens.
  • Maintain knowledge of trail maps, trail conditions, and the difficulty levels of each trail
  • Maintain knowledge of local tourist attractions to provide guests with information upon request (also important when doing the concierge in the lobby)
  • Professionally answer activities center phone with a formal greeting, assist caller, and/or take a detailed message with their name and number for a callback.
  • Contribute/communicate ideas for additions/changes to the activities schedule.
  • Assist Activities department staff in other duties as required.
  • Always be mindful of guest satisfaction and ensure optimum guest experience during every activity.
  • Properly close/lock up the Barn and other areas as required.
