About The Position

The Farm Worker position involves harvesting a variety of nursery stock including shrubs, trees, perennials, annuals, and vegetables. Requirements

• Must have three months of verifiable experience in a related field.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Provide job references from recent employers to establish acceptable prior experience.

Responsibilities

• Harvest a variety of nursery stock including shrubs, trees, perennials, annuals, and vegetables.
• Plant, cultivate, and harvest bare root trees and shrubs, as well as containerized trees and shrubs.
• Collect, plant, and maintain plant cuttings and perform related duties.
• Apply fertilizer or appropriate chemicals to control undesirable plant growth and pests using a spray applicator.
• Prune, top tape, transplant, space, stake, irrigate, and cull plants to ensure the development of marketable products.
• Harvest, pack, label, load, and store trees and shrubs using techniques appropriate for individual varieties.
• Unload liners and supplies.
• Perform mechanized field work using power equipment such as tractors, planters, sprayers, and cultivators.
