We’re currently seeking a Farm Services Officer (FSO) to support, grow and strengthen our dairy supply network across Victoria. Reporting to the Head of Farm Services, this hybrid role is primarily field based, working closely with farmers, with regular engagement in Colac and occasional attendance at Bulla sites as required. What’s the Scoop? As a Farm Services Officer, you will play a critical role in: Recruiting new dairy farmers aligned with Bulla’s production and quality requirements Building strong, long-term relationships to support farmer retention Acting as the key contact for contract execution, milk quality, logistics, sustainability and compliance matters Monitoring milk volumes and quality, identifying issues early and providing practical recommendations Supporting farmers with budgeting guidance and contract understanding Collecting and reporting data on production forecasts, sustainability initiatives and animal welfare standards Coordinating audits and liaising with third-party auditors and service providers (including logistics) Providing training on Bulla’s Quality Assurance Manual and food safety requirements Investigating market intelligence and contributing insights to the broader business This role involves extensive travel across Victoria and regular time spent on farms, building genuine partnerships and providing hands-on support. It includes some out of hours work on an on-call basis with a tool of trade vehicle provided as part of the role.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Field Services, Dairy Farm or related agricultural role
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capability
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
  • Confidence engaging with dairy farm owners, sharefarmers and third-party providers
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Teams and Excel
  • You are adaptable and flexible, particularly during peak recruitment season (May–June), when after-hours or weekend work may be required.

  • Preferred qualifications in Dairy Science, Agricultural Science, Animal Science or similar
