Positions open are racking and sorting on potato house line and potato house help. This position has the responsibility to comply with Safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Basic diesel mechanical knowledge required.
  • Working fundamentals of troubleshooting PLC’s.
  • Basic repair knowledge on potato equipment
  • Basic welding Stick and Mig welding.
  • Basic knowledge pm maintenance on trucks tractors and implements
  • Understanding of basic lock-out, tag-out procedures.
  • Requires a good understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.
  • Requires judgment to make decisions regarding sequence of maintenance operations to be performed within the limits of standard practice.
  • Ability to work in somewhat disagreeable conditions, dust, noise, fumes and vibrations.
  • Ability to work overtime as require
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous harvest experience preferred.
  • Must be willing to work extended and flexible hours during the peak season.

Responsibilities

  • Performs preventative and predictive maintenance on truck, tractors and other implements used in potato production.
  • Fabricates and equipment which may entail welding, cutting and fabrication.
  • Performs emergency repairs on farm equipment.
  • Inspects farm equipment daily performing pre-trip inspections.
  • Trouble-shoots any repairs electrical, mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic components.
  • Follows verbal instructions to make repairs to trucks trailers tractors and any farm equipment.
  • Cleans and lubricates parts, equipment, shop and machinery keeps current inventory of parts for day to day operation.
  • Equipment and truck operation as needed cdl required
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Record and document all work repairs done on equipment.
